Born in Antwerp, Belgium, Rebecca Blake came to the United States at a young age, and her European roots are evident in her work and aesthetics. She combines her love of all things modern: architecture, fashion, futurist technology - with her rich knowledge and appreciation of history and classical traditions; melding these diverse interests and influences into a unique and highly visualist style that goes beyond time and place.
Starting out as a Still Photographer shortly after graduating from New York University, Rebecca’s unique style soon had her in demand by some of the world’s most prestigious clients. Her advertising accounts included: Estee lauder, Revlon, Avon, Clairol, Elizabeth Arden, Germaine Monteil, Yves St. Laurent, Fortunoff, Hanes, Kohler, Nikon, Polaroid, Fuji, Seagrams, Michelob, Piaget, Rothschild Champagne, Warner Bros, Twentieth Century Fox, and Columbia Pictures.
Having honed her craft in Fashion and Beauty photography, Rebecca has since focused her unique vision on the commercial and music video worlds, and has directed many cutting-edge TV Spots and Music Videos, including campaigns for L’Oreal, Pantene, Revlon, Shiseido, Citroen, DeLonghi, Victoria’s Secret, Luxottica Eyewear, Maybelline, Max Factor, Vidal Sassoon, Volkswagen, Garnier, ALO’ Telecom, Guess, Nautica, Oriflame, Schwarzkopf, Uniqlo; and Music Videos for such world-class artists as Prince (“Kiss”, “Cream” and “Diamonds & Pearls”), Michael Bolton (“Said I Loved You” and “Completely”), Billie Myers (“Tell Me”), Luis Miguel (“Amor, Amor, Amor”, “O Tu O Ninguna” and “Si Tu Te Atreves”), KISS (“Put The X in Sex” and “Rock Hard”), Babyface & Jon B (“Someone To Love”), Vanessa Williams (“The Right Stuff”) as well as videos for Sheena Easton, Carmen Electra, Seiko Matsuda and many others.
The list of Uber-Models and Celebrities who have been captured by Blake’s lens is a veritable Who’s Who of the celebrity world, as she has been much in demand for both her Film work and her Still Photography for many years now, but keeps re-inventing herself to always keep her work fresh and new.

Rebecca Blake’s Still-Photography has been exhibited at The Rizzoli Gallery, Nikon House, The Hastings Gallery, The Witkin Gallery, The Light Gallery, among others. Her work is in the permanent collections of the International Center of Photography, The Brooklyn Museum, The Mellon Collection of Surreal Art, among others.
Her Editorial print work has been published in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire Magazine, Rolling Stone, The New York Times Magazine, among many others. Her book of Fine Art photography, “Forbidden Dreams”, was published by Quartet Books, Ltd, London.
Rebecca has won many awards for her work over the years, among them the MTV Video Award for Best Dance Video for Prince’s “Cream”, and the American Music Video Award for Prince’s “Kiss”.
Rebecca currently divides her time between her ongoing commercial film and photography work, and the development of her first Feature Film.
